She said its ok to bring an escort during a photoshoot, she's 18 and "pretty harmless, 5'4" and chubby, I also like kittens. Not much of a threat" She said that small things in life can make her smile at the end of the day, things like curling up with some hot tea and a good book, and knowing that she has a shoot coming up. "I'd hate to assign myself to one look but I definitely have a fondness for partial desaturation..also I love vintage-y colors and accents. I also love strong emotion. It's as important to me as light."
"Nothing terribly dramatic, but once while I was shooting with a model at a tucked away corner at a park, these guys came up to us and told us that we're interfering with their frisbee competition and impolitely asked us to move elsewhere. We reluctantly obliged, fearing the blunt force trauma of whizzing frisbees!"
"It's all about what looks natural for that person. Some models can handle a certain facial expression better than others. This helps when I'm executing concepts. I also try to find one unique feature on that person and then focus on it."
"Basically, you know which one it is right after you take it. A little thought comes to your head and you think to yourself "that's the one." It's that one shot that's got perfect harmony--the right light, composition and emotion"

"Water was my first experience in photography. Photographing little water drops on a flower, objects falling into water...so I guess it's almost sentimental. It helped me fall in love with photography."
"Model-wise, I haven't experienced rejections yet..but I have been for a few scholarships this year and it's bummed me out..but I always think of Picasso. He was rejected too :)"
"the best things about being a photographer? there's a lot lot lot of self-gratification...but that's not it. It's the reactions you get from people, and the models as well. When people see a photo that they admire, their eyes light up. It's a great feeling to know you've moved someone"
When asked about the possibility of capturing all the elements of the subject with a single shot, Nicole answered, "Not sure, I'm still figuring out how to do it!". There's something about Nicole that's so easy to like, maybe its her honesty and amazing sense of humor, like in one of her funny photoshoot instructions for future clients, she said that she's "a bum and don't own a car...If I'm shooting you, I will likely beg you to take me back home!" But that doesn't mean that Nicole Jean is all about fun topped with a giggly personality, "I'm also incredibly motivated. I've got my mind set and no one's going to change what I've got planned for myself. I've been through a lot and I know it's going to pay off if I keep on track and keep doing what makes me happy. So, basically, what I do makes me me! Ha ha..." Nicole's images takes the viewer to a whole new level, it's like staring at a mirror and for the first time recognizing that there's a different person looking back at you.
