"When I take a picture I had an idea in my mind of what it'll look like. When that idea and the image on my viewfinder/LCD match, the final shot is born. Assignments works in a different way, the clients bring the vision and we work together to manifest it."

"I love color. In a time when most popular trends point to desaturation, I strive to keep vibrant colors within my work."

"I may sound corny but honestly, I face rejection with Faith in my work and determination. "No" does not mean I am wrong, just not the right person for that particular job, period. I grew up modeling in a time when the internet was not as popular as today. One literally lived with a hardcopy portfolio from casting to casting, phone call to phone call, getting slapped day in and day out. At first It hurt a bit but as soon as I got a couple jobs I understood it had nothing to do with me. They are looking for specifics and one day you too will fit the void. This is a great opportunity to mention the importance of networking and always giving a sincere good impression in every opportunity we have. Many times I was rejected for a particular job and later on got called back from the same people to work on a different project."

"Talk about a blessing. The fact that these people believe in me and support my craziness is beyond my comprehension; but they own my heart and soul. Kim Grenzer our make up artist is an exceptional sugar mami, always spoiling the talent and cheering up the team; Clare our graphic designer a total diva, creative, loyal and beautiful. Andre is our and a blessing to the guys, he makes them look amazing! Air-brush artist Mike B recently joined us bringing his amazing creativity to the team. Our talent director Scott Riley with his deep intimidating voice takes care of scheduling and all office affairs-thank God; plus Scott has an eye to fix the guy's hair on set which is a great thing because I've been shaving my head off for too long and had no idea what to do with a brush or spray. I will need a book to explain what I've learned from them, but i will summarize it this way; they keep my ego and my spirit leveled when I need; they are my daily humble pie; the crutch where my passion rests; the bread that feeds my heart; the energy that moves my wheels."

"People are my main theme. I am fascinated by the diversity of characters; men are my main niche, because it is what I learned from my past work experience and what I can teach best for those pursuing a career."

"Advise for new models? Be humble as a person but great in front of the camera. Take care of your self--your body and presence are your product-sharpen your social skills and take care of your physique. Be optimistic, eager to learn, to take direction; have faith in your craft and practice, make well thought-out decisions when it comes to photoshoots and gigs, look out for your career; don't settle for less;"

"When we shot our 2008 press-kit we invited all AJR talents to participate. I wanted a big group shot to be the cover of our kit. I was a little concerned about keeping everybody ready at a decent time and making sure everything ran smoothly for all involved. When there are more than 3 models, MUA and assistants in a small set, sometimes it can be very challenging--let alone over a dozen people. Surprisingly, all guys and girls seemed to know one another very well. They had been networking and chatting about their experiences with AJR and others. The shoot ran better than most single shoots I haved one. Everybody gracefully helped to make the best out of the experience--even though at one point they were all body painted. We ended up having a family pool party after the shoot. I learned to never underestimate the commitment of those I work with; I learned to give them more credit for their unconditional efforts. From that day on, I also learned they are more than a group of models in a portfolio, They are my new family, the AJR family. I love them."

"A couple weeks ago. Beach shoot with 9 people, right in the middle of a large (island), 100 Florida degrees, white sand, Sun blasting, miles away from the cars and civilization; and 3 hrs later we realized we didn't bring a cooler with drinks, an umbrella or food. Oops."

"Most memorable photoshoot? My first big Editorial test as AJR and not just AJ. Lights were set, models in place and as I was ready to take my first shot; it hit me. It was real, it was happening; I made it. I had to stop for a few minutes--yes I cried the ugly cry. I will never forget that moment, a sweet blend of joy and embarrassment."

"I started in front of the camera, back when digital and editing software were unknown--yep I admit it, and film was in. I had the opportunity to work with some great creative photographers and marketers from whom I learned the ropes of the industry and will always be grateful for."

Every AJR models undergoes through tons of "training and lots of practice. From high fashion down to designer underwear, all AJR models go through several photo sessions and modeling lessons in order to build a solid working relationship that makes it easier to communicate and translate my visions or assignments into images. They work one on one, couples, groups, studio and location." No wonder why if its an AJR model, its definitely outstanding! Alex further shares additional advises for new models:
"be courageous, take risks, be bold not vulgar; be yourself and better yet,do not let fear and doubts stop you from achieving your goals; stop making excuses to feed your fears, prejudice or limitations. Life happens here and now.You deserve the best and nothing but the best. You better believe it." Trade secrets he loves to share with other photographers? "Believe in your work. Seek your own style; maintain consistency in your portfolio and marketing presentations. Don't be afraid to be creative. Be an eternal student of your craft. Be open to new ideas. Ask questions, network with other photographers. Be optimistic and motivating to those who work with you. Be good to your models, motivate and inspire them unconditonally. Every once in a while eat your humblepie too--we all need it. Practice, practice, practice. Be daring, find creative ways to put your product out there." Orlando is not only about Sea Worlds and Disney, but its also a place which Alex calls home, so what's the best thing about Orlando? "Diversity. The mix of cultures and the laid back feel of the city made me fall in love with it. And when it comes to having fun, this city knows how to celebrate.I am blessed to live here."
