We recently talked to Nicole Curtis one of the publicity organizer for the hottest band right now, The White Tie Affair, Nicole described their music as "Fall Out Boy meets Maroon 5 with a little Panic at the Disco!" On top of that their music are made for the iTunes generation, modern captivating songs with vocals that hits right through the heart. Patric: "How did you come up with the name for your band?"

TWTA: "I coined it. I googled it, looking for a name that's formal and elegant and after various key word searches, I came up with The White Tie Affair, the most formal of all events!"



Patric: "Tell us about The White Tie Affair's audience?"

TWTA: "We have a very diverse demographics, they represent almost every major cross section of the American consuming public, from teenagers, to young adults to soccer moms to grand parents and even great grandparents. Also I think Rosie O'Donnel likes our music"



Patric: "So what's the latest on the band?"

TWTA: "Wow, we are really on our feets and very busy! We will have a Hope for the hopeless tour this summer with Kill Hannah, The Medic Droid and Innepartysystem. It's a nationwide tour so we will be hitting lots of cities, check out our myspace page, for all tour dates plus ticket information!"



Patric: "How do you live your fashion?"

TWTA: "Guy liner is so last summer, shower daily (unless you're in a touring rock band- then every 3 days is ok) And according to Carson Kressley our pants are like cheap hotels- no ballroom. lol"



Patric: "Favorite songs?"

TWTA: "Mr. Right for personal reasons, Also Don't stop believin' that's not one of ours but I really connect with that one too"



Patric: "Any oops moments you wanna share?"

TWTA: "Early on in our career, we were playing a show in upstate New York, and there were a whole bunch of people there. It was really a good crowd. They were dancing, they were cheering and they have a lot of energy. Then at one point on the set, they just calmed down for a couple of seconds, and all of the sudden, this dude with a really deep voice just shout out, so you can hear it over the crowds- "You guys kick ass" We know then that our audience might be a little more diverse than we realized, but that was a fun moment!"



Patric: "How did the band started?"

TWTA: "The White Tie Affair started out as a death of two Chicago bands. Me and Sean started writing songs trying to develop a new style involving hip hop beats and rock and roll guitars. We started writing songs and then we generated some myspace buzz. People seemed to like it, so we put a band together and started touring. This all started around November 06 and everything just kinda unfolded from there"
