I believe everything happens for a reason. At the end of the day, you just have to look back and realize that you have what it takes and your past accomplishments are proof."

"I have learned a lot from a good photographer and friend of mine. Kim Grisco has always been a great supporter of me. She has always told me to never give up. Her amazing positive energy has always driven me to be as strong and to look at things with a positive perspective. Staying upbeat and having a good outlook on things is something that she has definitely bestowed to me. She is such a hard worker and a beautiful soul inside and out. As learning from a fellow model I have learned what not to become. The things that this person does is what makes people look down on fashion and modeling. This individual began to let modeling get to their head from the drug usage to self mutilation. It was sad to see. The lesson that I learned was that you should stay away from drugs, stay focused on your goals, and to not become egotistical."

"Before embarking in any audition or photoshoot, it is important to be well prepared, but at the same time remaining calm and collected. You should never make too big of a deal about either of these things. I believe that when you stress and get nervous then it will not benefit you. Just go into these things with a positive attitude and the people who are auditioning you will see the kind of person you really are."

"You have to look at what your specific goals are. Some aspiring models think the only thing that matters in a models career is getting signed. I beg to differ, I know of some models that are signed by five agencies internationally yet they are not getting sent out. Just because you have an agent does not mean it gets easier after that point. I recommend building your portfolio with established photographers. You have to find what works best for you."

"What inspires me? for this question it is not what, but who. Madonna, Britney Spears, and Drew Barrymore all for different reasons. Madonna I feel is one of the smarest women ever. She has gained so much fame and fortune, yet is true to her morals and values. She gives back to important matters and is not afraid to speak her mind. She has broke so many barriers in entertainment and fashion. She has always been ahead of her time. I recently saw her live in concert and was blown away. Britney Spears inspires me for having gone through so much and putting a stop to all the negative people influencing her for the worst. She is a smart woman who let evil people overtake her life and she was lucky enough to see past the lies she had in her life. Drew Barrymore, for finding herself at a young age and having gone through a difficult childhood into a bright and successful career. She has such great energy and a great soul."

Garrett shares his experience with the recent LA Fashion week, "Being a part of LA Fashion Week is one of the best experiences I have had. To be in one room with so many creative people: makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion designers, photographers, models, and many more. To have my my mom fly into LA to see me walk the runway was one of the best feelings. I was so happy to have my mom watch me. She has always been one of my biggest supporters and seeing her there really made everything seem even more special." His career advise for new models? "Do not do drugs, party, drink, or smoke cigarettes. Research photographers and agencies. Never be egotistical. Do not lie on your resume. Be willing to take risks." Garrett further adds that anyone that's contemplating on going on this field needs to weigh the pros and cons, and be in it for the right reasons, "If your only in it for the money then your better off being a lawyer. There are perks and also disadvantages to modeling. It can be very lonely, long hours, and a harsh business. You also have to be a grounded person, no one wants to work with someone that is egotistical. I feel as long as the aspiring model is in it for the right reasons it will lead that person in the right direction." Curious on five things that Garrett can't possibly live without? "My family, my animals, my close friends, my blackberry, and my ipod." Garrett also shares his favorites, "Favorite Photographer? Alex Covo and Kim Grisco, Designer? Elmer Ave, Jewelry Designer? Nicolina Royale, and the female model that's the new thing? I would say, Raphaella Gesumaria, she takes some of the best photos I have seen. She is a down to earth and funny too!" So how does Garrett catch dreams? "By being true to myself and being positive even in hard times." Truly, Garrett is one of those amazing models who's really out there, working on their dreams, and inspiring everyone in between. When you think about it, success always has a history. "Modeling is not the ordinary, it is the opposite of ordinary. The most awkward people are considered beautiful in the fashion industry. I feel the more "weird" you look the more amazing and fascinating you are to look at. It is boring to see someone that gets a bunch of plastic surgery to look "perfect". A model is someone that is willing to take risks, is true to themselves and others, and has a passion for fashion in general."
