"They say your eyes are the windows to your soul. I have very long natural eyelashes for a guy, longer than most women with makeup. I guess that's one of my best assets, which is kind of embarrassing, to be honest, but I take that as a compliment that I have been asked if I was wearing some makeup. When I answer no I usually get a remark of confusion and shock. Another one sometimes when out with my friends I sometimes, just shoot that look and that's all it takes to get someone to come over and talk to me. I will confess I never talk to people or try to hit on girls If the eyes don't work, it just wasn't meant to be. Lastly I would have to say discounts. kinda laughing about it cause its a tested method when hitting on cashiers (especially at hardware stores) they tend to overlook certain differences in price on similar items. When they know you are looking at their eyes more times than not they tend to get a flush color in their cheeks and forget what they are doing. Don't think less of me for doing these things I do the best with what I have and I have nice eyes not breasts."

"EXPRESS FOR MEN hands down, I absolutely adore their designs always changing it up but still their signature look. I can have a beard or a mohawk and I can still find an outfit that I can work with there. like me they are diverse, but still maintain there original precedent. As trends are always changing I'd like to think they are a standard in the industry cautiously and tastefully adapting to new fashion. As I do. ;)"

"Well a masculine look is to me muscles and hair. I have nothing against the shaved look don't get me wrong. As I have went along used to shave my chest because i thought it was something that was kind of off putting. As I grew up a little I realized that wasn't the case. I have a hairy chest and that is something not too many guys naturally have. You can shave hair but you can't just grow it. I consider myself lucky I have the option to have a hairy body. Many women see it as a sexy thing as well some don't. I can appeal to both genres of preference. With that said a masculine look is a bit gritty maybe even a bit dirty. I try to keep my strongest male features in mind when I am shooting. I make sure my jaw lines is always tight I feel it improves that I have a squared chin. I try to push body hair at least well placed body hair. I believe it is sexy visually, in a picture a woman can picture running her fingers through your chest hair (like I said its not everyone's thing) and find that it is very invigorating. A strong look or even more confident look is really what I consider masculine. I try to be as inviting and evenly as enticing in any shoot."

"I believe a photographer can get a good idea of what he wants to shoot but it is up to the model to provide the necessary changes that the photographer might like and likewise might not see at the moment. working with a photographer is like bouncing ideas off one another. its a very intricate process where both party's might not be seeing the same thing at a point but at the same time will be appreciating the shot that stole the show. When you have your photos at the end of a shoot you can look at everyone and see its a collaborative effort."

"Characteristics that a new model should possess? A strong drive, you can't give up. A sense of humility, because you need to know that you might not be the person for the job although if you learn from it one day you might be. Ability to compromise, you may think every shoot is gonna be your idea if you are the originator of the idea. Don't lie to yourself its your idea not your world. Work with a photographer to obtain the best shoot. A photographer has the ability to compare and contrast you against other models without having a bias opinion. Always get another opinion than your own."

"I have been told many times i should go into modeling by more than a few people. Honestly i like the challenge. This is something I cant reason my way through or study harder to accomplish. Modeling is from what I gather a hands on experience through and through no short cuts just raw desire for a quality shoot. It is truly a different kind of experience."
"Snowboarding is my downtime favorite. There is nothing like going to a mountain early and getting to the snow as its falling. unlike a lot of people i love the cold weather it just doesn't feel right without it. So obviously I'm gonna want to play in the snow a bit. I ride an Alibi 160 to anyone that is wondering and you can often find me getting my ass handed to me by a terrain park near Chicago."
"How i deal with rejection. hmmm. If I feel I have put my best foot forward yes naturally I will not feel good about rejection. No one likes failing. If it is just mundane tasks and I am clearly illustrating the difference, I reply to it as if I had asked a yes or no question. I will take whatever criticism I can and use it to alter my character to where I feel it would benefit me. All the pressure involved with life is nothing more than a lie you're going to tell yourself, remember you wanted this at some point you made a decision to put yourself into this situation. So your best bet is to enjoy where you're at and strive for the best outcome from your current situation."

"I always get a compliment when it comes to my butt. It is very... ummm... bubbly? My butt loves to be grabbed and people love to grab it. lol! I used to very obsessed with bike riding I'm fairly sure that has just altered the my terrain permanently in a great way. Its been compared to a girls butt in a good way lol"
"I don't care what anyone says cardio is important. To build muscle properly you need proper blood flow and endurance. I'm not saying im a huge fan but it is necessary. If you don"t like running you can always find ways around the bedroom to get some cardio in and a good ab work out at the same time be creative. At least its my favorite exercise!"
"The stupidest, lol I am not without my flaws in that area. Beside the obvious mishaps of my love life, actually a really hard question. Actually the stupidest act thing I have done was in Sophomore year health class I engaged in a rousing stapler fight, not like flinging staples but actually chasing and being stapled. At some point I unknowingly got one stuck in my spine that i did not feel until the following period at which point i pulled it out and collapsed. when I came to I was being put in a wheel chair and being brought to the nurse. I soon after went to the hospital and had to be hooked up to a portable heart monitor for a week and had an EEG to make sure it wasn't in any serious trouble. Yes it is a very dumb thing to do. When you're young you never really think about the possible consequences."

"As a model its important to see the difference between doing what you want and trying to find compromise within the shoot. You may not always be seeing things through the trained eyes of a photographer. A photographer sees a canvas to be altered to more endearing angles. A model lives in their own skin and needs to work to be the canvas that is trying take shape as the photographer gives their best input. Its truly a win win situation as long as both teams are playing the same game."

"How's the experience working with Denny of TheMaleWorld? Oh the man that runs circles around you for 18 hours a day? ya I know him! He is a great man with a unique mind. He has abilities beyond what you would normally believe. In my week plus working with Denny I learned to appreciate the art of modeling past the obvious vanity of it all. I believe we began to wear each other out. he is a hard man to keep up with, But we shot for a week straight with little time in between and we are both still alive and happy lol. He knew exactly how to get what he wanted out of me. Denny's cooking and hospitality are just priceless. I don't think I have ever had food that good that much that quick. Outside of everything done I know I will be a better model and a better person because of him. I can't find a better way to say it. He is awesome."

Shawn is not only a gorgeous model, but he's also a third generation electrician, "that means my father and grand father were also electricians. When you are as young as I was (10yo) trying to live up to a legacy as great as my family's you learn quickly to do your best or you get stomped by the older workers. I use this method in everything I do. People are always going to feel threatened by another talented person. I have no problem giving them a great reason to feel threatened. And I will only feel satisfied with my job if I tried my hardest." Shawn during his interview also shared some advise for new models, "Be Prepared, Luck is preparation meets opportunity. So be prepared and be patient. Jumping into this thinking you are gonna be on the cover of every magazine within the year would not be smart. Actually it would be very naive. It would be a nice goal to work toward but always be willing to make your goals more reasonable to your abilities as you find what your strengths and weakness' are." His thoughts on his TheMaleWorld shoot? "The words "hard work" don't do it justice. I have had to go to such lengths emotionally that I never thought I could achieve. I believe it shows in my work very well. This is an experience shared by few, and only a few i think have the capacity to pull to the surface what TheMaleWorld is looking for. I can honestly say it changes you, and give you some great tools to bring home with you. If anyone reading this is thinking of working with TheMaleWorld bring your Ipod and game face it will get crazy."
