Think that being a model is easy? Well, think again. He had been told everything that's under the sun, from being too short or too tall, he's 6'2, to being too skinny or too bulky. The last casting he went too, actually said that he's too pretty! "It's very easy to be discouraged, but at the end of the day for all the polar extremes you get told on a day to day basis, you will go to a casting where you are exactly what they are looking for and it will all be worth it!" He's NEXT. Ready to meet, Gorgeous Brett?
Brett Dreissig is the NEXT Hottest Model.
"When I was 16, I went to New York to shoot with this amazing photographer. He told me "Unless you want to look like you're wearing fur pants, shave your legs when you are shooting anything showing your legs." I thank him 100 percent! I have definitely seen some fur pants shots out there and I just have to chuckle."
"My life story is like an awkward tale of a random boy. I always seem to find myself in the most bizarre situations. My friends in Los Angeles nicknamed me "Sexual" do to my lack of pants and my idea that anyone will give you anything you want if give them a compliment. "Sexual can you get me a drink" (and they come back with a drink and a shot) "Do you have change for laundry, Sexual?" (and they dryclean your clothes for you.) It's just our little joke... needless to say "Sexual" hasn't really transferred over to NY "I am going to Union Square, Sexual" [to the taxi guy] doesn't really fly here [yet] ha ha ha ha."
"I have adored Rick's work for years. I contacted him when I lived in Los Angeles, and he said as soon as you get out to New York that we would shoot. So when I moved here he was the first person I called and was so thrilled with the outcome. He's a great guy and so easy to work with."
"LOL. I kind of have an "eccentric" sense of style...I have a habit of cutting all my pants into shorts. I have an infinity of tank tops, I always wear beanies and boots, and I love leather jackets. I also love jewlery. I was so pumped when Rick wanted to shoot in the vintage Thunderbird necklace I showed up wearing to the shoot. So pretty much all year round whether it's summer or winter you will find me in a weird mix of shorts with a beanie and boots with a tank top and a leather jacket ha ha ha ha ha."
"Five things in life that I just can't live without? My family they always have my back and my 2 adorable nephews and kitty Tyra. -2. My friends. I moved to LA when I was very young so my friends there turned out to be my extended family. And now that I just moved to NY, I am trying to find that similar core. -3. Working out and being active. After a run on the beach it's hard to have a bad day -4. Traveling. -5. Jean Paul Gaultier cologne. I had it in when I was High School, and I may sound like a cornball but I love when a smell brings back memories, and for me the smell brings me back to all the memories of that time. Everytime I smell it I think about it all and smile."
"I have a different body than most of the guys on this site. If I saw any veins popping through my biceps or abs I would probably go to the hospital and ask what was wrong with me. I love running! I ran a half marathon and training to run a full marathon. I also do a bunch of reps with really light weights that help to keep my body lean/toned and in proportion."

Behind his success as a model, there are numerous heroes that had inspired him and had helped him attained his goals, Brett shares his thanks, "My family, always there to support me through the good times and bad. My nephews Miles and Landon! Its so hard not to see them very often and miss so much of their childhood, but that I am out here working towards a dream. Rikky, Brittany, Omar, Carlos, Justin, Chels, Reed, Paul, Dragon, Unicorn, Tommy, Jess, Jenna, B.J., Mallory, Shelly, Dania, Kate, Caroline, Alex Love you guys." Random facts on Brett? "I am originally from Minnesota (German background)...and started modeling when I was 16. Moved to Los Angeles straight from High School where I continued to model. Now I just moved to New York to help further my career i just signed with Ikon Modeling Agency. I have done runway for many designers (French Connection, Marc Ecko, Rock & Republic, Affliction) and been featured in many fashion editorials including most recently in Spanish Marie Claire. When I'm not working I am working out. I love running. I am in training to run a marathon. I enjoy anything that pushes me a little out of my comfort level." Brett during the interview also shared some advise for new models, "As a new model you need a lot of confidence (not cockiness) passion and most importantly a thick skin. 90 percent of the time you are going to get rejected. Wethers it's to get into an agency, or booked for a casting. You need to have the confidence to keep your head held high, the passion to go to the next agency/go-see, and thick skin to be able to [possibly] get rejected again." Truly Inspiring! Brett truly proved that with hard work and strong passion for success, nothing is impossible to attain!

"I would like to say I just brush rejection off and move on. Sometimes it is a little rough when you go in for a job and a random strangers is pick pointing out every insecurity and flaw you think about yourself. But it comes with the job. . . After a good workout I'm over it."
Always Exciting. Always NEXT.
